Iowa St. Has No 2013 Football Commits

Iowa State handed Oklahoma State its first loss of last season on Nov. 18 (celebration below), ending the Cowboys’ national title hopes. But apparently that big win hasn’t positively affected recruiting.

According to a 2013 Big 12 Recruiting Scorecard kept by ESPN.com, the Cyclones are the only team in the league that doesn’t have a player committed for the fall of 2013.

To put that in perspective, even lowly Kansas – with Charlie Weis in the fold – has three. Texas, to no one’s surprise, has 14 to lead the way for the conference; Oklahoma and Baylor each have nine 2013 commits.

Yes, we know it’s too early to draw any conclusions, as players can’t sign letters of intent for that class until February of 2013. But Iowa State better get a move on.
