It has been said that the fate of Nebraska’s football team rests on the right arm of quarterback Taylor Martinez, a talented runner who has been wildly inconsistent in the passing game.
Check the video below, which proves that Martinez certainly has a way to go. A YouTube user, jrinchen123, posted a video of Martinez – starting with a close-up on the quarterback – that mocks his throwing with the title, “How To Throw The Perfect Pass (Taylor Martinez).”
The narrator sarcastically points out Martinez’s 2-and-1/2-step drop, poor footwork and dismal release in which his head is cocked up in the air. Then, the video starts the play from the beginning and shows the pass resulted in an interception by Michigan State last fall. The video currently has over 25,000 hits on YouTube.
To be fair, the video was of Martinez in October. We shall see what he has done to improve over the offseason.
