Spurried Named Most-Hated CFB Coach

Steve Spurrier’s nickname, the Ol’ Ball Coach, makes it seem like he’s your friendly next door neighbor who just happens to be a championship-winning college football head man.

But according to rankings by ESPN.com on Friday, Spurrier is that neighbor that everyone hates. Click below for the entire list of the 10 most hated college football coaches ever.

The former Florida and current South Carolina head coach was atop the web site’s list – ahead of ex-Ohio State coach Woody Hayes at No. 2.

We realize why people dislike Spurrier, who has been known to run up the score on opponents and rub in their shortcomings in comments to the media. The height of hatred no doubt came when he was bulldozing opponents at Florida and has since mellowed.

Still, his spot at the top of the list seems a bit much since, you know, Hayes once punched an opposing player on national TV during the 1978 Gator Bowl.

    The all time “MOST HATED COACH” in ALL od college football has to be that lying West Virginia native “Nick Saban”…………I’m a Michigan State fan and he lied to us and then went down to Louisiana and lied to them, when he left the Louisiana State program he went out sort of on a good farewell kind of thing because who could blame a coach for wanting to better his life and the live’s of his family and as far as i have heard they wished him well and had no hard feelings. OHHHH and then the liar in the Man came out, looked America right in the eyes and said there was no way he would be the coach at Alabama “JUST FLAT OUT LIED”……We loved him up here at State becausewe knew hwe was a very good coach but not yet a great one and we would possibly be the one’s holding some of those trophies that he has won down South but in the end i would rather not have them trophies, Well… AT LEAST NOT WITH HIM BEHIND THE WHEEL, when he speaks to TV (surely not the media, HOT-HEADED RUDE JERK) he comes off as this likable, charasmatic, charming man who can do no wrong and in reality “he’s just a bold face liar that just cares about himself and not all the fans and young men that he promised things to and then left them behind scratching their heads”…………………………….FACT is he’s the most hated Coach in all of College football that just apparently didn’t get the votes that he so deserved!………………..J.     After Bama’s drubbing of MSU in the Capitol One bowl, a couple of years ago, Saban was asked by an MSU player “How’d you guys lose 3 games?” Saban responded “How’d you guys win 11?” Lol!
