Mike Leach Shows Off Giant Slayed Bear

New Washington State coach Mike Leach usually is in the news for something he said. On Thursday, it’s for what he shot while hunting.

After telling his followers earlier of slaying a large bear in Canada, Leach finally shared a photo (below) Saturday night of him with the bear on Twitter. He had gone hunting with the Outdoor Channel’s Mike Pawlawski.

Leached tweeted: “Here’s the bear I got the other day. Hunt will be broadcast on the Outdoor Channel (not sure when). Measured 7’4″.”

That’s right, Leach said he nabbed one of the largest bears his guide had ever seen. He no doubt hopes to dominate more Bears in Pullman, WA, on Oct. 13.

That’s when the Cougars host Cal.

Why would anyone feel compelled to do that? Doesn’t it take larger balls to shoot a wild animal with a camera? Could never understand why big game hunters think they are cool. Low testosterone compensation? As far as inappropriate comments being deleted, I would think that the only inappropriate comments would be those condoning his deed.

Before coming to my senses, I was a hunter (waterfowl, mourning doves and rabbits). Now, I’m as anti-hunting as one can be because I realized there is absolutely no good reason for it and many good reasons against it. Human have battered the planet we live on and the animals that inhabit it with us to the point where most of the most valuable species are threatened or endangered. And, when I talk about value, I mean the beauty of seeing these wild creatures in their natural habitats where they should be photographed and enjoyed not shot and destroyed. I don’t know what it will take to end anti-environment activities before it’s too late. Of course, it’s already too late for many species we have driven to extinction. But, I sincerely believe that nature has a very cruel lesson waiting for humans, if we don’t change our ways. Global warming is already killing humans across the globe, and we could quickly become endangered or extinct if we don’t stop our activities that cause it.

3 CHEERS. This is a sick and depraved act. Your words are very wise.

I don’t see the point in killing a bear but u tree hugging hippies are ridiculous. Global warming isnt real. It is just used by politicians to get you to buy into this whole “green” mess. The politicians are invested in these so called green companies. Also, “green” is the reason everything costs so much these days. They are fleecing the people of this country. I bet u don’t see Al Gore using clothes lines to dry his clothes in any of his mansions that cost thousands of dollars to heat and cool every year do you?
