Film With MSU’s Roe Premieres at Cannes

A film featuring former Michigan State forward Delvon Roe, who had to end his hoops career early due to a degenerative knee problem, premieres Thursday at the Cannes Film Market, according to MLive.com.

He was a member of two Final Four teams with the Spartans but never was able to blossom due to the knee. However, it looks as if Roe’s second career as an actor is just starting to bloom.

A theater major, Roe has a role in the upcoming movie “Love and Honor” – formerly entitled “AWOL” – a Vietnam War-era film that stars Liam Hemsworth, Austin Stowell and Aimee Teegarden.

The movie filmed last summer just before announced his departure from basketball in September.
