Kentucky’s Terrence Jones recently surprised a Louisville cheerleader with flowers. He did much better for his mother.
Jones got his mom a Cadillac SRX Crossover for Mother’s Day on Sunday, tweeting a photo of the car with a big, red bow on it while telling his followers that Linda Mashia-Jones was on a plane back to Portland from Los Angeles unaware of the lavish gift.
We don’t think anyone on Twitter spoiled the surprise. Either way, Jones’ mother was happy – as we can tell from a photo of her smiling and posing next to her new toy.
As The Dagger pointed out, Jones reportedly signed with Arn Tellem of the Wasserman Media Group recently – meaning he likely got some early money before actually signing an NBA contract. He is expected to be a first-round pick in the NBA draft after two years at Kentucky.
We know that there are a lot of stories of incoming NBA players acting foolishly with their money. But we don’t think this is an example of that; good for Jones for treating his mother right.
