Ryan Tannehill’s wife, the former Lauren Ufer, wasn’t on the screen very long when the ex-Texas A&M QB was taken with the eighth overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, but she’s already being called the breakout star of Thursday night.

Not that anyone’s complaining.
Fans took to Twitter to drool over Lauren, with comments such as:

CNBC’s Darren Rovell tweeted that in the first 10 minutes after Tannehill quarterback was picked, there were 800 tweets about Lauren, who reportedly picked up 3,000 followers overnight – a 350% increase.
It isn’t the first time that she has garnered attention. She caught the eye of college football fans last fall during a Texas-Texas A&M game, in which she appeared on television and became known to the masses.
Ryan appears to be taking the ogling in stride, telling ESPN.com last week: “I think it’s funny. I think it’s great whenever people tweet her or say anything about it. It’s pretty funny. She went into a restaurant a couple of days later and the waiter said, ‘I saw you on TV. You’re Ryan’s girlfriend.’ I thought the whole thing was great.”
The aspiring model, who wed Ryan in January, is now headed with her husband to Miami after spending last fall as a cardiology assistant at BCS Heart hospital in College Station, and she appears fired up. She tweeted Thursday night: “FINS ARE UP!!!!! Miami here we come!!!!!!”
Looks like she will fit perfectly with the beautiful people of South Beach.
