Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was contacted about the Arkansas head-coaching job but turned the school down, according to a report from 5News on Wednesday.
Citing sources, the station said that Carroll wasn’t interested. Carroll took over the Seattle Seahawks in 2010 after a wildly successful run as the head coach at USC. He has led Seattle to a combined 14-18 record in two seasons, but that included an NFC West title in 2010.
The following was tweeted Wednesday by Carroll: “I still love the Arkansas fight song… But Mooch (Steve Mariucci) is the man… Go Razorbacks!”
