Mid-major conference tournament championship games have some of the best environments in sports since they are played on campus.
In Missoula, MT, on Wednesday night, Montana fans took home-court advantage one step too far by shaking the basket as Weber State’s Damian Lillard – the second-leading scorer in the nation – was attempting free throws. It was pointed out to the referee standing on the baseline who stopped play until the basket was still.
Check the GIF below, in which you can see the goal move. We like the enthusiasm from fans of the Grizzlies, who saw their team post an 85-66 victory over Weber State en route to the Big Sky championship and Montana’s second NCAA tournament appearance in three years.
