Nerlens Noel and Shabazz Muhammad, the top overall recruits for the class of 2012, are closing in on their anticipated decisions.
Noel, the No. 1 recruit who has drawn comparisons to Bill Russell, has reportedly narrowed his list to Kentucky, Syracuse and Georgetown, according to Scout.com.
Zags Blog reported Sunday that Muhammad will take a visit to UCLA before making the final call, a decision that has many of the nation’s top programs waiting with bated breath.
“I think Coach (Ben) Howland wanted him to come at the beginning of April, for that weekend in the beginning April (6-8), but I know that’s close to the Jordan Game, so I have to look at those dates,” his father, Ron Holmes told SNY.tv. “I’m not exactly sure but that’s when I’ve got it penciled in for.”
The report said that he already has taken official visits to Texas A&M, Kentucky, Duke and Kansas. But it’s been well-documented that the 6-foot-6 Muhammad is considering attending Arizona and hometown UNLV as well.
Holmes said in the report that UCLA will be the last official visit for the star from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.
