It’s already known that Kentucky fans will do anything to watch their Wildcats play, even breaking the law if necessary.
A Salyersville, KY, fan was arrested for criminal trespass at Louisville’s KFC Yum Center, where the NCAA tournament’s second and third rounds took place, according to WDRB.com on Monday.
The Wildcats beat Western Kentucky and Iowa State in Louisville to advance to the Sweet 16. That’s where Owen Barnett, 68, had been sitting in a section of the arena in which tickets had been reported stolen prior to the Iowa State contest, the report said.
According to WDRB, police asked Barnett to leave “several times.” He reportedly was arrested when he did not oblige.
Our guess is that Barnett used his one phone call to check on the UK score.
