Antoine Walker Sells Off NBA Title Ring

Former Kentucky star Antoine Walker, a member of the D-League’s Idaho Stampede, had to sell his 2006 NBA championship ring from his time with the Miami Heat thanks to financial problems, TMZ reported Monday.

The report said that the ring sold for $21,500. It was a sale he was forced to make, TMZ reported, thanks to his 2010 bankruptcy case, which TMZ said had Walker with $12.7 million in debts and $4 million in assets.

TMZ said that the sale, which seeks to liquidate Walker’s assets, would have to be approved by a judge before it’s finalized.

Walker won a national championship in college, as a reserve with the Heat in the NBA and sandwiched a star-studded turn with the Boston Celtics in between the two. Now he is trying to climb his way back to the NBA by proving himself in the D-League.

Sports Illustrated recently chronicled his struggles and found Walker overweight and shooting a miserable 37% from the field this season – an incomprehensible plight for a man who made about $110 million during his NBA career. Antoine Walker profile

Bush took a $236 million dollar surplus and left the American people with severe (understatement) debt. That’s a shameful fact. The Bushes created the mess. When the people who want to “take the country back” run the US into the ground (if they get the chance), guess who they will blame?

    Obama’s first budget was 2010. Hannity Heads and Limbots always attribute the 2009 deficit to Obama.
    Obama inherited a mess and was forced to deficit spend to avoid a depression. W, on the other hand, inherited a surplus. And credit for the surplus W inherited goes to Clinton, and , yes, Bush Sr. You see, it was Bush Sr. who had the common sense to raise revenues realizing Reagonomics was deficit spending our country toward a fiscal catastrophe. Of course, when Bush Sr.raised revenues to save our country, the Limbots and Hannity Heads (monkees, every one of them) villified Bush Sr. and declared his presidency a failure. W’s main focus when elected was to lower taxes (obviously trying to ingratiate the monkees who villified his father), regardless of the resulting deficits (remember his mentor, Dick Cheney, saying deficits don’t matter?). Too bad. W was a disaster. Hopefully, true patriots will prevail, revenues will be raised, and our country will return back to a responsible fiscal path.

hey, truth… you might want to check the national debt. president obama has added $4.939 trillion, taking the grand total up to $15.566 trillion. and that is in less than one term. under two terms, bush (II) added $4.899 trillion. forget left and right. we all need to get together and actually do something.
