Virginia’s J.T. Taylor thinks a coaching change is imminent in Charlottesville and discusses who he thinks Virginia should look at for its next head man.
I see a change coming for the coach of Virginia. I would like it to be (former UVA defensive back) Jon Tenuta, the assistant defensive coach at Notre Dame. I would love to see that.
Jon is just a no nonsense guy, and you can just go on YouTube and see that. His defensive philosophy is one of the best in the nation in my opinion. He likes the attacking defense, and that’s something we’ve been lacking for awhile now.
But really, check out those videos on YouTube. He’s a colorful guy to have on the field.
Whether he’s on the radar or not, I don’t know, but I’m 100% behind him.
But I kind of get the feeling it could be someone like Derek Dooley or Tommy Tuberville from Auburn.
I even heard that someone like Mark Richt from Georgia is embattled there, and he could be on the way out. He would be tremendous for this program, and I think they’ll go for some big guns like Richt.
I don’t think you go wrong with any of those names.
I would love to see some of those assistants stay, but a lot of those guys are Groh-ians as I call them. They might have to go to just clean out house in the program because it’s just not going places right now.
I’ve talked to coach Groh, and he’s a great guy, but he’s just not seeing success.

J.T. Taylor played DT for the Cavaliers and is now the coach of Virginia’s first home school football team.
