Callie Rivers is in the middle of the historically heated North Carolina-Duke rivalry.
The sister of Duke freshman guard Austin Rivers, Callie, also is dating North Carolina junior guard Dexter Strickland, who won’t play in Wednesday’s meeting between the schools because of a season-ending knee injury.
“It’s a different situation,” Austin Rivers said, according to the Fayetteville Observer. “I don’t think it’ll matter to her; I think she’ll just support us both.
“… I try to stay out of my sister’s stuff.”
Awk-ward!
While Rivers didn’t have much to say on the topic, the newspaper said that Strickland declined to talk about Callie, a former Florida volleyball player and, of course, the daughter of Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers.
Callie has already turned heads in the blogosphere for posting curvaceous photos of herself (below) and you can follow her reaction to Wednesday’s game on her Tumblr account and Twitter.
Somehow, we don’t think that the half-and-half shirts worn by the parents of Cody and Tyler Zeller will work in the Duke-UNC rivalry.
