Former Ohio State receiver David Boston was arrested for aggravated battery for punching a woman twice in the head in Boca Raton, FL, on Tuesday night, according to a report on the website of Florida’s ABC 25 on Thursday.
The report said that Boston, 33, drank a bottle of vodka, a bottle of wine and ingested some pills, which caused a woman whose home he was at to become “nervous.”
The woman reportedly called her friend to come hang out with the pair. According to the report, it was the second woman who was punched in the head, causing a wound that needed 10 stitches to close.
It’s unclear what caused Boston to allegedly punch the second woman. According to the report, the first woman said that the two were just friends, and Boston had been temporarily staying at her house.
A two-time All Big Ten selection, Boston played in the NFL for four teams from 1999-2006 before one CFL season in 2008. He made the Pro Bowl as a member of the Arizona Cardinals in 2001.
