Tom VanHaaren, a recruiting editor for ESPN.com’s Wolverine Nation, posted the below photo of a letter sent to recruits by Penn State assistant coach Mike McQueary. It’s unclear when it was sent.
McQueary, as everyone knows by now, is the man who reportedly walked in on Jerry Sandusky allegedly sexually assaulting a young boy in a Penn State shower.
The letter touts PSU as a scandal-free institution. It reads in part: “Penn State is 1 of 2 Division I institutions who have never been investigated or sanctioned for any major NCAA infractions.”

It goes on to say that coach Joe Paterno’s motto is “Success with Honor.”
While McQueary’s statement about the school in relation to the NCAA still holds true, it rings hollow in retrospect.
