PSU’s Short Working for Goldman Sachs

Former Penn State linebacker Brandon Short has been an associate investment banker and Goldman Sachs since July 2010. He graduated from Columbia Business School last year.

Short, who resides in New York City, entered the business world after an NFL career with the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers from 2000-06. He appeared in the Giants’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XXXV after the 2000 season.

In college, Short had a standout career for the Nittany Lions, who are known for cultivating star linebackers. Short was an All-American in 1999 and the MVP of the 1998 Citrus Bowl.

Penn State has a big matchup with Nebraska on Saturday, but the school has been enveloped by a scandal surrounding former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky – Short’s old coach – who has been accused of sexually abusing young boys. Brandon Short profile

you need to mind your own business. what is your source of information for making such bold comments as “most former players” and most of the student body? you could not possibly know what most former players and most of the student body think. for you to suggest that recruits should de-commit simply because you are not getting your own way is truly sad. do you hold your breath and stomp your feet also?

spot on russ…for a guy who’s had the success that short has had and educational background he has you would think he could make an intelligent point but, no, instead he makes a series of ridiculous almost childish statements…sounding like the “boosters” from Friday Night Lights who thought THEY ran the HS football program….brandon your comments are well beneath you….you’re out of football, you have a job with Goldman Sachs…get on with your life….no one at Penn State needs to come to you for your opinion on how to run the football program or frankly anything else there and if you don’t like that then don’t give them any of your time and $$…and, oh , buy the way, it’s a friggin football program…a game…remember? grow up….PSU should be known for its academics and not some program that maybe .01% of the school actually participates in
