Kansas State running back Bryce Brown is done with college football and plans to enter the 2012 NFL draft, according to Knoxville radio host Jimmy Hyams on Twitter.
Hyams tweeted that Brown has been in Knoxville since last week visiting his girlfriend and “doesn’t plan to play college football anymore.”
The No. 1 recruit in the nation in 2009, Brown transferred from Tennessee, where he struggled after being stuck behind Montario Hardesty, a 1,600-yard rusher and future NFL second-round draft pick. Brown didn’t do much when he finally got his chance, either.
This season with Kansas State, he has three carries for 16 yards. A spokesman for the school told The Mercury last week that K-State won’t “confirm nor deny if Brown is still in fact a member of the Wildcats.”
While we’re hesitant to believe a radio host, it sure is looking more and more like Bryce Brown’s college football finished before it really even got started.
