Auburn has its live War Eagle that swoops in to set the mood for its home games. Michigan tried to one-up it with a “Rocketman” who hovered over the Big House before the Wolverines’ 36-14 victory over Purdue on Saturday.
Check the video below of the space-themed pregame ceremony, which was orchestrated for the Homecoming Game. It had the man take off outside the stadium, soar around it and land at midfield with the game ball as Elton John’s “Rocket Man” blared in the background and the crowd erupted with applause.
We have to say, we’re pretty darned impressed. Could this be the newest Michigan tradition?
