Pitino Compares Pitt, ‘Cuse to Infidelity

Rick Pitino should stick to references to “The Godfather.”

The Louisville coach chose to go in a different direction at Big East Media Day on Wednesday, when he again made it known that he did not agree with Pitt and Syracuse leaving the Big East for the ACC.

We’ll let Pitino take it from here.

“My problem is not them leaving,” he said, according to The Dagger on Wednesday. “My problem is you did it in 48 hours. Don’t run away with a girl after one date when you’ve been dating someone else for three or four years.

“You’ve been dating this woman for 30 years, show a little respect.”

We’re not joking; Pitino actually said that. It’s the same Pitino who two years ago admitted to cheating on his wife of 27 years with Karen Sypher after business hours at a Louisville restaurant in 2003.

It’s a layup to sports bloggers near and far; maybe Pitino should retire his analogy career.

    LMAO..this is wrong on so many levels. The obvious “how long have you been married to your wife Rick? And how long did it take you to decide to “show her some respect” by taking another woman into the back room of Porcini’s????? Oh, and how long were you married to UK? 8 years? And how long did it take you to decide to leave them high and dry for the NBA job? Oh yeah, and how about when Louisville left Conference USA high and dry to Join the Big East…I didn’t hear you talking about “respect” or “loyalty”… what I heard was how “great an opportunity for Louisville it was.

    Rick, you are just plain not smart enough to use your own words in public…honestly, you can coach basketball, your mind is good for how to set a trap at half court…but that is pretty much the extent of your thinking skills, to be blunt, you are just NOT a very smart man off the court. That being said, for God’s sakes…take some of the Celtic money and hire a good PR person to write everything for you when you intend to speak into a microphone. It will increase your odds of not looking like a complete idiot by a multiple of 50.

    lol what a fail Louisville left C-USA to improve their standing he’s just pissed that CUSE and PITT did what was best for themselves which hurt his school. His constant bitching is making me hope they get annihilated in every game this year

That is a laugh of Mammoth preportions.I think he’s just pissed because tha ACC didn’t offer Louisville and because he’s not come REMOTELY close to the success he had at UK and this comes from a DIEHARD UNC fan.Tell him to get over himself and hope that in the near future that he can WIN his conference now Ha ha ha ha.
